Adding carbs back to your diet after completing the Induction phase of Atkins is a delicate balance. Too much of a good thing is still a problem.
I added veggies back in today after I found out I was back into ketosis. Oh, wrong idea! I've been sick every since I ate the salad. Ugh. I feel horrible. My stomach is having issues and I feel sluggish. I normally associate this feeling with eating food with gluten, but it seems that my body reacts the same way when I reduce my over all carbs. I added to many carbs back too soon.

On the flip side, I did weigh-in today. My weight didn't change but my inches definitely dropped. Since I'm back in ketosis, I don't have much of an appetite. Ketosis - natures appetite suppressant. LOL! This is the thing I do love. Recently, I've had issues with not eating because I was stressed; however, being in ketosis is an entirely different experience and feeling. Mentally, I don't have the feeling that I am force feeding myself.
My low carb menu for today:
B: Curry shrimp with 1 cup of mashed cauliflower
L: Salad with artichoke, olives, jalapenos, bacon bits, & feta cheese. A side of shrimp alfredo
D: Chicken Cheese Rolls
