30 Day Challenge Update

Well today is the 19th and I'm still at it. I've only missed posting two days since I started. I missed the first day because I slept through dinner. I woke up after 12am and I was not going to cook or eat that late. Last night I didn't eat because I didn't have an appetite. I lost it after I dropped a nearly full bottle of Moscato. It wasn't that the wine was gone but that I had to clean all of it up. All I could smell was just wine and it made me sick. Then to top it off, I have a piece of glass stuck in my foot. Ugh! I have to figure out how to get it out because it is killing me.

Anywho, enough of that. Things have been going great and I'm glad I decided to do that challenge. It has forced me to eat dinner at times I would skip it. It has also cause some revelations about my food choices and tastes. I realized that I have a thing for broccoli and I can eat it almost everyday. I never noticed it until now. I had someone mention before they could grocery shop for me because I always get the same stuff but I guess I was in denial. *shrugs* OK...sure!


Earlier this week I did throw some sauteed brussel sprouts into the mix for a little variety. I also picked up a cabbage to cook for this week. Then it is me and broccoli again. Well, change that because I am going to make the pumpkin bake and that counts as a veggie. I guess I am old school when it comes to a meal: I have to have something green with each meal or it just isn't right. LOL!

I realize that I work so much better when I have a menu set for the week. Flying by the seat of my pants is not a good idea. I end up picking random easy to cook things that don't normally go together. One night I was tempted to make eggs, a mim, and a grilled chicken breast. Crazy, right? I know. So, you see where I'm going here. I need to stick to planning. Now I do have a notebook of previous menus and I will use one of those weeks (when I remember I have the notebook).

Weight wise...I have dropped a few pounds but the inches have fallen off like crazy! It's the middle of the month and I have lost almost 1.5 inches. I am still waiting to reach my mini goal weight. When I hit that I said I would start posting scale pics and measurements each week. I know but I'm special. Don't judge!
