January 2014 Tiki Update

I know I've been posting a number of giveaways but nothing really about me lately. I've been trying a number of products to see what fits in my lifestyle and sharing my result with you. I feel that you can be have foods and drinks that are both healthy and delicious. So, the first thing is that I will continue to share my new finds.




As for me personally, I have a number of things going on. Honestly, I've been going to the doctor weekly for the last month. My weight has gone up after they put me back on prednisone for my joint inflammation. I am not at all happy about that and I am trying to get it off ASAP. I gained 12 lbs doing a five day round. I warned my doctor that I don't respond well to steroids but... sigh

It's time to stop being angry and hop off my pity pot. Whatever has been going on with me, I am positive that we will get to the bottom of it. I'm still waiting for appointments with specialist. However, the Lyrica I was given seems to be helping. I'm not sure if weight gain is a side effect. I will have to research that one.

With that said, I hope to get back to running and working out. I see the changes in my body because I haven't been as active. OK...OK...my butt isn't sitting as high and nice as it was before. I was enjoying that perk of running. hehe

Anywho, I have my Sept '12 to Mar '13 pictures but I haven't made a recent collage. I will post that one in another post. My Sept '12 to now is going to trip you out. Even with my thyroid going wacky, you can see a definite difference.

Well, that's it for now. That pic will be coming soon. I am creating a posting schedule for this blog. I believe it will be twice a week, weekly meal plan and weight loss update. Thank you to all that have been on this journey with me. I got discourage when I found out my thyroid wasn't working properly and stopped posting. I should've keep posting but I didn't want to be a Debbie downer.

Keep pushing! I know it is hard. I have a hard time being consistent and sticking things out. We can do this. I am planning on starting the Paleo diet at the beginning of February. I wish you the best on your journey!

Thank you so much. I try everyday no matter how hard it is or what obstacles come. I just get knocked down for a bit. I pray over it and keep going.
